Replace Coquina Boardwalk in the National Park Service, Nags Head, NC: DOT Construction served as the General Contractor. Our responsibilities included providing all Project Management, Quality Control Management, Safety Management, Superintendence, Cost Control and Schedule Control Services.

Project description: Demolished and disposed of the existing boardwalk, viewing platform, and stairs, completely, in accordance with all Federal, State Regulations and Standards. Installed a new boardwalk constructed according to the approved NPS OBG standard. The new boardwalk was constructed using pre-cast concrete sections matching NPS approved precast sections and timber framing methods. The new boardwalk meets ABA/ADA guidelines. The new boardwalk provides access to the beach at the approximate toe of the existing dune line on the beach (approx. 275 ft of boardwalk). Sloped sections of the new boardwalk have aluminum handrails. Sections of aluminum handrails are continuous for the length of each section, with clean welded connections. A new ocean viewing platform is located at the end of the boardwalk.
